Mystery Maze - AR Treasure Hunt

This application was built as a live event in Version’19, NIT Trichy. In traditional treasure hunt games, the players are given a piece of paper consisting of a hint and the player has to go to another location corresponding to the hint to get another clue. Going back and forth till the player reaches the final destination and wins the game.

The mystery maze app modifies the traditional Treasure Hunt games in the form of an app. When the player opens the app, they are given a hint. The player has to go to the location corresponding to the hint and scan the object mentioned there, with the AR camera, inside the app. As shown in the screenshot, the user will get another hint to the new location.

Features:

• Unity was used to design the app.
• 3D map for navigation for the users using Mapbox.
• Augmented Reality was built for Image Targets using Vuforia.
• Application was packaged as an android app.
